Planning April 2026 Japan trip but worried about the insane crowds during sakura season. Should I go at a different time?

The crowds are real but the beauty is worth it. Book everything way in advance.

Go to less touristy areas. Avoid Kyoto weekends. Head to Tohoku region.

Early April or late March has fewer crowds and you might catch early blooms.
