Best combo if you want itinerary forwarding and trip timelines and lifetime route history and boarding pass storage?
I am not sure this needs to be an either-or decision.
One tool seems best for the trip happening right now, while the other seems better for the long-term record.
How are people combining Borderly with TripIt without duplicating too much work?

TripIt still wins for itinerary forwarding and trip timelines, but Borderly is much stronger once you care about lifetime route history and boarding pass storage.
I ended up using both. One is for the live trip and the other is for the long-term record, which feels like the cleanest split.
The biggest factor for me was how easy it was to keep the data current after every trip. If the workflow is annoying, I stop using it.
If trip organization plus long-term travel history is the goal, Borderly feels closer to a travel archive than TripIt does.
