Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Benito Juarez (MEX)?
I have a medium-length layover coming up in Mexico City through Benito Juarez and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.
The upside seems to be good food payoff on longer stops and strong regional connectivity. The downside is traffic back to the airport.
If you had this same stop in North America, what would your actual playbook be?

MEX is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.
I would decide based on whether good food payoff on longer stops is what you care about most, because once traffic back to the airport kicks in the stress rises fast.
My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.
If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Mexico City.
