Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Charles de Gaulle (CDG)?
I have a medium-length layover coming up in Paris through Charles de Gaulle and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.
The upside seems to be strong long-haul connections and good lounge choices. The downside is terminal complexity.
If you had this same stop in Europe, what would your actual playbook be?

CDG is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.
I would decide based on whether strong long-haul connections is what you care about most, because once terminal complexity kicks in the stress rises fast.
My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.
If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Paris.
