Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Dubai International (DXB)?

I have a medium-length layover coming up in Dubai through Dubai International and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.

The upside seems to be 24-hour services and strong lounge inventory. The downside is crowded lounges.

If you had this same stop in Middle East, what would your actual playbook be?

DXB is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.

I would decide based on whether 24-hour services is what you care about most, because once crowded lounges kicks in the stress rises fast.

My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.

If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Dubai.
