I have a medium-length layover coming up in Frankfurt through Frankfurt Airport and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.

The upside seems to be efficient rail links and predictable route structure. The downside is passport control bottlenecks.

If you had this same stop in Europe, what would your actual playbook be?

FRA is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.

I would decide based on whether efficient rail links is what you care about most, because once passport control bottlenecks kicks in the stress rises fast.

If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Frankfurt.
