Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Hamad (DOH)?

I have a medium-length layover coming up in Doha through Hamad and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.

The upside seems to be excellent premium lounges and quiet overnight facilities. The downside is sleeping at the gate instead of using better rest zones.

If you had this same stop in Middle East, what would your actual playbook be?

DOH is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.

I would decide based on whether excellent premium lounges is what you care about most, because once sleeping at the gate instead of using better rest zones kicks in the stress rises fast.

My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.

If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Doha.
