Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Haneda (HND)?
I have a medium-length layover coming up in Tokyo through Haneda and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.
The upside seems to be fast airport-to-city access and reliable transit. The downside is cutting the timing too close.
If you had this same stop in Asia, what would your actual playbook be?

HND is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.
I would decide based on whether fast airport-to-city access is what you care about most, because once cutting the timing too close kicks in the stress rises fast.
My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.
If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Tokyo.
