Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL)?
I have a medium-length layover coming up in Atlanta through Hartsfield-Jackson and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.
The upside seems to be high frequency schedules and efficient airside train. The downside is assuming domestic timing translates to international timing.
If you had this same stop in North America, what would your actual playbook be?

ATL is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.
I would decide based on whether high frequency schedules is what you care about most, because once assuming domestic timing translates to international timing kicks in the stress rises fast.
My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.
If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Atlanta.
