Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Hong Kong International (HKG)?
I have a medium-length layover coming up in Hong Kong through Hong Kong International and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.
The upside seems to be excellent lounge quality and fast airport express. The downside is trying to do too much in the city.
If you had this same stop in Asia, what would your actual playbook be?

HKG is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.
I would decide based on whether excellent lounge quality is what you care about most, because once trying to do too much in the city kicks in the stress rises fast.
My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.
If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Hong Kong.
