I have a medium-length layover coming up in Seoul through Incheon and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.
The upside seems to be clean airport design and solid rest areas. The downside is overplanning city trips.
If you had this same stop in Asia, what would your actual playbook be?

ICN is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.
I would decide based on whether clean airport design is what you care about most, because once overplanning city trips kicks in the stress rises fast.
My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.
If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Seoul.
