Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at KLIA (KUL)?

I have a medium-length layover coming up in Kuala Lumpur through KLIA and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.

The upside seems to be good long-stop value and easy budget-premium mix. The downside is terminal confusion.

If you had this same stop in Asia, what would your actual playbook be?

KUL is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.

I would decide based on whether good long-stop value is what you care about most, because once terminal confusion kicks in the stress rises fast.

My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.

If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Kuala Lumpur.
