Best way to handle a 6-8 hour layover at Munich Airport (MUC)?

I have a medium-length layover coming up in Munich through Munich Airport and I am trying to decide whether to stay airside or build a simple routine around food, a walk, and a solid reset.

The upside seems to be easy navigation and pleasant terminal experience. The downside is winter disruption planning.

If you had this same stop in Europe, what would your actual playbook be?

MUC is one of those airports where a medium layover can feel great if you choose one goal and stick to it instead of stacking too many mini-plans.

I would decide based on whether easy navigation is what you care about most, because once winter disruption planning kicks in the stress rises fast.

My rule for a 6-8 hour stop is one main activity, one decent meal, and a very conservative buffer back through security.

If you are even slightly unsure, I would bias toward a calm airport routine and save the city run for a longer layover in Munich.
