Getting into country counting and not sure about the rules. Do airport layovers count? What about territories? What's your country count?

I only count if I leave the airport and spend at least a few hours exploring.

UN member states is the most common standard. Currently at 67 countries!

Territories are tricky. I count them separately from sovereign nations.

Use a travel tracker app to keep count. I was surprised I'd visited more than I thought.
