What do you double-check before a transit stop in Doha?

I have a connection through Doha and I am trying to build a clean pre-flight checklist for transit rules, terminal movement, and whether I can safely consider going landside.

The airport seems strong on excellent premium lounges, but I worry about underestimating walking time if the day goes off-script.

What are the non-obvious checks you always do before committing to a transit plan here?
