Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber operate extensively, with a trip to the center costing roughly 40-50 Euros. Helsinki Layover Time Management

With a 2-4 hour layover, it is best to remain at Helsinki Airport (HEL) and enjoy the Nordic design, art installations, and premium lounges. For a 4-8 hour layover, you can comfortably take the train to the Central Railway Station, walk through the Esplanadi, visit the Helsinki Cathedral, and grab a quick Finnish meal at the Old Market Hall. If your layover is 8+ hours, you have time to take the ferry to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress or even visit the nearby historic town of Porvoo by bus.
