Bose are more comfortable for long periods/sleeping.

Sony has slightly better noise cancellation, but Bose wins on comfort.

Consider AirPods Pro 2. The noise cancelling is surprisingly good and they are easier to sleep in.

I wear Bose over earplugs for maximum silence.
